Wang Mengyan
Mr. Wang Mengyan serves as the Director of the Expert Committee and is a senior engineer at the professorial level. He is a renowned scholar in China’s petroleum refining and lubricant field and a distinguished science and technology expert recognized for his outstanding contributions to Sinopec. After graduating from Lanzhou University in 1964, he was assigned to work at the Beijing Research Institute of Petrochemical Science, where he has remained ever since, holding positions as Laboratory Director and Master’s supervisor. He has been engaged in the development and research of advanced lubricants for national defense and military industries, participating in R&D efforts for numerous military projects, including the Shenzhou‑5 and Shenzhou‑6 spacecraft, as well as key nuclear submarines and military aircraft. With over thirty years of experience in lubricant research, he has achieved remarkable results, earning one Third Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, two Second Prizes and twelve Third Prizes of the Sinopec Science and Technology Progress Award. He has published more than forty papers in domestic and international journals and filed eight national invention patent applications.
